List of Things That Distract from Studying §

So finals week is here… Studying is boring. Here’s what I’ve done over the course of this weekend instead.

  1. Had a Haircut.

  2. Watched several back-to-back episodes of The Lawrence Welk Show on my local PBS station at the hair stylists’ joking recommendation.

  3. Scrub the entire kitchen from top to bottom - including the complete reorganization of the layout and storage of canned foods.

  4. Waste 4 hours listening to music on

  5. Torment the cat with strands of garland.

  6. Go to Safeway for a bottle of merlot.

  7. Catch up on the all important reading of the New Yorker, rather than the less than important reading of “Operating Systems Concepts with Java.”

  8. Drink said bottle of merlot.

  9. Take a nap.

  10. Allow friends to drag me to a bar. Drink nothing but champagne.

  11. Allow aforementioned haircut to span across 4 hours by meandering through the mall looking for friends in its employ.

  12. Take another nap.

  13. Finally realize at 9:30pm on Sunday night that I have a final the following morning at 10:20 and have yet to study… so log into MovableType and pen this entry.
